The 2nd Annual Minnesota Statewide Juneteenth Celebration is back and better this year! We hope you will join us for a culturally rich experience on both days of this momentous celebration. Saturday, June 17th we will be at the St. Peter Community Center, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Starting at 11 a.m. we invite you to join us for our first-ever MSJC parade! Following the parade, the other festivities will begin. We will have live musical performances, a live dance performance, art exhibits, great food options, free haircuts/styles, a kid’s corner, our annual basketball tournament, Father’s Day surprise, and so much more.
On Monday, June 19th we will be at the St. Peter High School, 4-8 p.m. We are elated to announce that we have partnered with the Minnesota Humanities Center to bring their play “Kumbayah: The Juneteenth Story” to our festivities this year. Before the play there will be an appetizer hour and after the play there will be a great panel discussion with the cast. The play is open to the community and as always our event is free for all attendees. We look forward to celebrating with you!
Sign up as a volunteer, for the scholarship opportunities, tabling, and the basketball tournament.
