Spring Alive

Join the Minnesota River Valley Master Gardeners as they host 2024’s Spring Alive Horticulture Day! There is no cost for this free educational event. There will be no lunch served, but attendees may bring snacks along for the meeting. Master Gardeners who attend can get 4 CEUs. Register here.

• 9:30 – 10:30 – Underutilized Woody Plants for Use in the Managed Landscape, Dr. Brandon Miller, Assistant Professor of Horticulture at the University of Minnesota.
• 10:30 – 11:30 – New Annual and Perennial Flowers for 2024, Johanna George, Landscape Designers and Horticulturist for Bailey Nursery.
• 11:30 – 12:30 – The Lovely Lily, Karen Wright, Blue Earth County Master Gardener
• 12:30 – 1:30 – The Effect of Climate Change on Birds and other Wildlife, Al Batt, Writer, speaker, storyteller, humorist, and columnist.
