Live Music – Jim The Harpooner

The tradition continues! Come down St. Pats day from 5-8 for live music with Jim the Harpooner. Jim is a two-man musical dreadnaught steered by Nate Boots and T-Storm Friedrichs which strives to bring large-scale sea atmospherics and raconteuring back to the Midwest in the form of shovel & bucket-infused sea chanties and other noise. Jim will be performing nautical, Irish, and St. Patty’s Day-themed music featuring both favorites and originals.

First established in the sleepy, sea-scant village of Mankato in 2017, Jim the Harpooner appreciates well-made sandwiches, rich machine oils, irons rusted yet true, compasses that’ve been through a squall or two, creamy chowders and warm porridges, regal dogs, passenger pigeons, the poems of the elderly, the folly of youth, the charms of the weary, the spoils of the rich, documented shore-leaves, scrimshaw abacuses, and pegleg fever.
