Mankato Playhouse presents "Jesus Christ Superstar"

This timeless rock opera is set against the backdrop of a well-known series of events, uniquely told through the perspective of Judas Iscariot.

Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the musical follows the final week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story unfolds entirely through song, delving into the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.
