The season comes to a close with Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor, referred to as the masterpiece among her compositions. Paired with certainly the best-known piece of music to be named after a fish, Franz Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet’s popular title comes from a movement of one of his best loved songs. Maestro Ken Freed shows off his inimitable skills on the viola on this program, joining a stellar roundup of musicians.
