United Way Seeks Volunteers for Upcoming Events

    MANKATO—Greater Mankato Area United Way is seeking volunteers for August events to benefit its programs.

    • RibFest at Vetter Stone Amphitheater – Volunteers at the 23rd Annual RibFest August 5-8 have the unique opportunity to help United Way earn donations. This year, RibFest attendees will vote with their dollars for People’s Choice Award. The ribber with the most dollars will win the title, and Greater Mankato Area United Way will receive the donations.     • Scoops Fundraiser in Elysian – Volunteers are also needed for the 2nd annual Scoops Ice Cream Fundraiser for United Way in Elysian on Saturday, August 21 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The event serves as United Way’s kickoff event in Elysian for the 2022 campaign. Volunteers will work behind the counter serving ice cream, making hot dogs, and running the register. Proceeds benefit Greater Mankato Area United Way. The event features live music throughout the day.
