Mankato, MN – The Mankato Symphony is presenting free holiday programs, open to all community members. First, the MSO is bringing back last year’s popular Holiday Countdown. The MSO will post a new music recording from friends and community members every day, from December 1st – 25th on their Facebook page and website. This community showcase is open to all ages and on the last day, the MSO will post a compilation of all submissions. To participate, just send a 1-to-5-minute video recording of you and/or your friends and family playing or singing to your favorite holiday-themed tunes. Next, a small group of the MSO musicians and Family Fun artistic director August Jeske will present Winter Wonders at the VINE Faith in Action Community Center, 421 E Hickory St, Mankato, on Thursday, December 9, at 12 noon. The show includes heartwarming holiday songs and spirited entertainment.
Finally, Mankato Symphony’s Free Family Fun series: See, Hear, Play Music presents Winter Wonders on Saturday, December 11th, 1:00pm, at the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota. This show is geared for children and their caregivers. Come to the show an hour early and enjoy free admission to the Children’s Museum. All ages are welcome.
