Mankato-based photographer James Wesley Taylor explores Greek mythology and personal relationships in Génnisi Chrómatos(Birth of Color), a new body of work on display at the Arts Center of Saint Peter.
Taylor, a Mankato native, holds art degrees from Utah State University and Minnesota State University, Mankato. His photography explores the human condition focusing on themes encompassing spirituality, sexuality, and art history. This is his first exhibition at the Arts Center of Saint Peter and his largest solo exhibition to date.
Concurrently, the Arts Center’s south window gallery will feature Boneless and Hopeful, a new series of skateboard decks painted by Maceo Kelsey Bassett, a student artist seeking to “bring awareness to skateboard art and the skatepark being built in St. Peter.”
