United Way Campaign Kicks Off in Waseca: Sept 30

    Bean Bag Tournament registration now open

    WASECA—Community members and businesses are invited to Greater Mankato Area United Way’s 2022 Campaign Kickoff & Bean Bag Tournament in Waseca from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 30 at The Mill Event Center.

    The bean bag tournament is limited to 20 teams. Cost is $100 per team; two players per team. To register for the tournament, contact Diane Beckmann of Thrivent at 507-835-9899.

    The event is free and open to the public. Food provided.

    Presenting Sponsors include Cinch, First National Bank of Waseca and Thrivent.

    Supporting Sponsors include Kwik Trip, Mis Tres Flores and The Mill Event Center.

    Last year, Greater Mankato Area United Way programs served more than 1,000 Waseca residents.

    “All community members and businesses are welcome to join us for the kickoff event,” said Greater Mankato Area United Way CEO Barb Kaus. “We are excited to continue our work of improving lives of those in need in the Waseca area.”

    Businesses are invited to become a Pacesetter donor recognized at kickoff by pledging their corporate gift of $500 or more before the event.

    About the 2022 Campaign:

    Greater Mankato Area United Way’s 2022 campaign goal is $2,060,000 to support 59 essential programs in Blue Earth, Le Sueur, Nicollet and Waseca counties. Each spring, more than 80 community volunteers review all programs as part of the annual community-led vetting process.
