MANKATO—Team registration is open for Greater Mankato Area United Way’s 7th annual Human Foosball Tournament on September 11 benefiting United Way’s 59 programs.
The 32-team tournament takes place from 12 to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 11 on the 500 block of Mankato’s South Front Street. The street will be blocked off between Cherry and Warren to make room for four life-sized foosball courts.
Teams must have a minimum of five players. Ages 16+. Players under 18 must have parent/guardian signature. Cost is $600 per team. Register at MankatoUnitedWay.org/human-foosball.
The event is free for spectators. Spectators are welcome to enjoy the foosball games, along with the City Center establishments and block party atmosphere. Music by Radio Mankato.
All eyes will be on the reigning champion, Blethen Berens, as they battle for a fourth title.
Event volunteers are needed throughout the day to help with scorekeeping, refereeing and more. To volunteer, please visit GetConnected.MankatoUnitedWay.org or contact United Way at 507-345-4551 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Event proceeds benefit the partner agencies of Greater Mankato Area United Way, which serves Blue Earth, Le Sueur, Nicollet and Waseca counties.
