On September 20, 2025, at 7 PM, in collaboration with Thrivent New Ulm Area Group, State Street Theater presents ComedySportz, a unique blend of comedy and competition that promises fun for all ages.
Part comedy show, part sporting event, ComedySportz brings two teams of quick-witted comedians face-to-face in a fast-paced, interactive improv showdown. The twist? The audience is in charge. From shouting out suggestions to voting for their favorite team—and even joining the action onstage—everyone becomes part of the game.
Keeping the laughs coming is the referee, who awards points, keeps the match moving, and isn’t afraid to call a few hilarious fouls on players—or even the audience. The result is an entirely unscripted performance that’s never the same twice.
