This July, a musical production like none you have ever seen will be hitting the State Street Theater Co. mainstage. Little Shop of Horrors is a “deviously delicious Broadway, and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical” that features characters such as Seymour, a clumsy, insecure florist’s clerk; Audrey, Seymour’s secret love interest; Mr. Mushnik, Seymour’s nosy and manipulative boss; Orin Scrivello, a sadistic, egotistical dentist; and Audrey II, a plant with an appetite for…? (You will have to be in attendance to learn the answer!)
Performances of Little Shop of Horrors will take place at State Street Theater Co. on Friday and Saturday, July 23 and 24 at 7 pm and Sunday, July 25 at 2 pm.
Tickets for Little Shop of Horrors are available at the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce, New Ulm HyVee store, and online at statestreetnewulm.org. Advance ticket prices are $8 for students and $12.50 for adults. Advance tickets are available up to one day prior to the performance. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the show at a price of $10 for students and $15 for adults.
Patrons attending Little Shop of Horrors are reminded not to park in the lot behind the Emerson-Union apartments. There is ADA parking and other parking in the theater’s back parking lot off Washing Street, with access to the stage door, #7.
Licensing for Little Shop of Horrors is provided by Musical Theater International and any materials used would be supplied by www.mtishows.com.
