Saint Peter — More than 200 ceramic bowls and dozens of specialty pottery items hand-crafted by local artists will be for sale on a first-come, first-served basis at Souper Bowl: A Fundraiser for the Arts Center of Saint Peter, on Sunday, March 17, 3:00-6:00 pm at The Capitol Room, 419 S. Minneota Avenue, St. Peter.
A tradition for nearly three decades, “Souper Bowl” showcases the artistry of area potters who work together to throw, trim, fire and glaze bowls in a variety of sizes and styles. Regular bowls are priced at $20, which includes the bowl and a single serving of soup. A variety of soups will be available courtesy of Patrick’s on Third, St. Peter Food Co-Op & Deli, River Rock Bakery, and other local providers.
Prices for specialty pottery items vary. All proceeds benefit the Arts Center, a multifunction art space including a gallery, clay studio, fiber studio, and performance venue, with classes and special events open to the public year-round.
