Mankato Family YMCA to Temporarily Close

    March 16th, 2020

Mankato, March 16 – The Mankato Family YMCA, in consultation with other YMCA leaders across the state and with Mankato Family YMCA Board of Directors leadership, has reached a decision regarding the Coronavirus situation.

The Mankato Family YMCA will close its doors at the end of the business day on Monday, March 16th. We will remain closed, for now, until Monday, March 30th. All YMCA programming and events will also be cancelled. As we approach that date we will determine if staying closed longer makes sense. For frequent updates as this situation continues to develop, please visit www.mankatoymca.org.

This was a tough decision, but we feel it is the best decision at this time. The health and well-being of our members is of utmost concern, and closing now is the socially responsible thing to do.

As we have done in the past, the YMCA will work with public officials to determine how our assets may be utilized to support the community.
