MANKATO, MN — The Community Response Fund (CRF) announces its next round of grants totaling $18,500 to two different community organizations. These grants were awarded in response to the short-term emergency needs of nonprofits throughout our region due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
With the new grants included, the CRF has distributed a total of $155,450 to regional tax-exempt organizations since the fund launched March 20. This round of CRF grants supported the following community organizations:
• Get Mankato PPE for Personal Protective Equipment.
• Mankato Youth Place (MY Place) for operating support for extended hours.

Established through the Greater Mankato Area United Way and Mankato Area Foundation, this fund is designed to respond swiftly in support of nonprofit organizations that are serving the escalating needs of our communities affected by the novel corona virus.
