Chad Honetschlager officially filed his candidacy for the office of Nicollet County Sheriff. Chad has spent the past 5 years working as a Police Officer for the City of Mankato. Prior to that he spent 12 years as a volunteer reserve deputy for the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office and 5 years as a reserve officer for the Mankato Police Department. Prior to his entry into law enforcement Chad worked in sales and project management roles. He loves and enjoys working for the greater good through public service.
Chad brings a unique set of life skills into this profession. His nontraditional journey into law enforcement is unique and brings a fresh perspective at a time when it is needed most.
Chad’s goals include improving relationships between the residents of Nicollet County and the Sheriff’s Office. Through openness and accountability, every citizen of Nicollet County can play a role in shaping the Sheriff’s Office into a positive institution affecting positive change for all who interact with it.
