Join State Street Theater for the production of the classic tale “Peter Pan” with everyone’s favorite characters Wendy, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Captain Hook. Auditions will take place on Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May, 15 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Based on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale and featuring an unforgettable score by Morris “Moose” Charlap and Jule Styne with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, Betty Comden, and Adolph Green, Peter Pan comes to life on the stage!
Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook.
We have a variety of roles available and encourage all ages are welcome to audition, including children. All interested are encouraged to audition for the play. First-time actors are warmly encouraged and welcome. Auditions will be a cold read from the script and singing. Open auditions at the State Street Theater Co., 1 N. State Street, enter at Washington Street parking lot, backstage door. Patrons are reminded not to park in the lot behind the Emerson-Union apartments. Rehearsals will take place from May through July.
