    October 1st, 2020

    SAINT PETER, MINN. – Locally produced prints and greeting cards, wearable fiber art, personal care items, and functional pottery will be among the items for sale at the Arts Center of Saint Peter’s Holiday Market, a multi-week sale showcasing local artists and authors in four blocks:

    1. Prints & Photography, October 7-25;
    2. Personal Care & Books, October 28-November 15;
    3. Jewelry & Fiber Art, November 18-Decembern 6;
    4. Functional pottery & woodwork, December 9-23.

    An alternative to the Arts Center’s traditional one-day Holiday Fare sales event, the 11-week Holiday Market will feature sales displays spaced for social distancing throughout the wheelchair-accessible gallery, open every Wednesday-Friday 1:00-5:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m. Hand sanitizer, disposable face shields, and disposable masks are available throughout the gallery, where health and safety protocols are strictly enforced by staff and volunteers.

    “We’re excited to offer local artists and authors this opportunity to sell their work safely,” said Executive Director Ann Rosenquist Fee. “Our one-day Holiday Fare usually draws upwards of 600 people. We’re hoping the Holiday Market will reach those same fans of local art, but with time and space to spread out.”

    Artisans will not be present at the Holiday Market. All sales will be handled by the Arts Center, with 70% of proceeds going to the artists. Arts Center hours and information are at www.artscentersp.org.
