    July 24th, 2019

    Deadline for submissions – August 23, 2019

Located along Riverfront Drive, a major thoroughfare through City Center Mankato, this temporary outdoor art installation will be highly visible and enhance the pedestrian experience for visitors and residents exploring the City Center. Design submissions should celebrate the spirit of Greater Mankato culture and our vibrant community.

Selected artists will receive a $500 stipend to paint their design onto a plywood cutout provided by Ardent Mills, which is the same dimensions as the window well. The artwork will then be temporarily installed into the window wells and exhibited until June 2020. After the uninstall date, the artwork will be auctioned off and funds will benefit future CityArt projects (www.cityartmankato.com/ ). It is the intention of Ardent Mills to then begin the process again with five new artists and designs the following year.
