Pegeen Rozeske, the Shoe Lady and a Historical Reenactor, is a journeyman shoemaker. Pegeen travels through time as well as across the miles to demonstrate what making footwear entailed when this country was just beginning.

John Fritsche, reenactor and period rifle competition shooter, will demonstrate how 1860s armament was assembled, cleaned and prepared for use. Period firearms and related memorabilia will be on display.

The BCHS welcomes back Ted Marti, president of Schell’s Brewery, to continue his presentation “Schell’s Brewery and the Prohibition Era.” In this part, Marti will tell of the time before the Prohibition era, elaborating on what helped the brewery persevere and become resilient to the turbulent time ahead.

Animals Found in the “Wild” in the River Valley

Chad and Lori Wengert will present a program about wildlife they discovered while exploring the Cottonwood River in the New Ulm area. They will share information about bison, fox, raccoons and skunks. Animal mounts and artifacts will be on display.
