Event Details

Fill your writing toolbox by learning how to use the basic elemental units of poetry. In this six-week class, students will have the opportunity to read, discuss, and write poems of their own (although writing is not required).

Each class will focus on one poetic tool: Imagery, language, sound and diction, the line and how the line functions, and form and voice. Class meetings will be treated as learning communities with the shared goals of learning from and understanding from one another to improve comprehension and progress.

Materials will be provided by the instructor, and will include video, music, discussion, and visual art. For all levels 16+. (Min: 5, Max: 10.)

Wednesdays 12:30-2:00 p.m., June 3, 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8.

  • Cost: $40
  • Instructor: Jenn Wartman

Class meetings will take place via Zoom. We’ll use the contact information you provide through PayPal, to provide further instructions.
