Join the Minnesota Valley Master Gardeners for three Saturdays of garden programs! Topics include landscapes, beneficial insects, herbs, flowers, and pests.
The April 9 and April 23 events will be in-person at the Blue Earth County Library. The April 16 event will be a virtual program broadcasted by the hour on KTV, Channel 181 on Spectrum, and Channel 7 on Consolidated.
All events are free and open to the public. There will be door prizes for the April 9 and April 23 in-person events.

April 9th Agenda (in-person at Library):
- 10 a.m. – Registration
- 10:30 a.m. – Urban and Rural Trees in a Changing Climate (Gary Wyatt, UMN Extension Educator, Forestry)
- 12:00 p.m. – What Happened to Grandma’s Flowers? Reliable Alternatives for Shade Loving Impatiens (Joyce Wilcox, Nicollet County Master Gardener)
- 12:45 p.m. – Cooking with Herbs (Brenda Langerud, Le Sueur County Master Gardener)
April 16th Agenda (virtually on TV):
- 9 a.m. – Early Wildflowers, Hanging Baskets, and Saving Water with Rain Barrels
- 10 a.m. – Sweet Potatoes, Square Foot Gardening, and the Smaller Bearded Iris
- 11 a.m. – Composting, Maximizing Garden Space, and Violets Secret
- 12:00 p.m. – Variety in the Vegetable Garden, and Primroses in MN Gardens
- 1:00 p.m. – Growing Tomatoes, Peppers, and Groundcovers
- 2:00 p.m. – Plant Names and Hardy Herbs
