Summer Solstice Bike Campout

Let’s celebrate the summer solstice with a bike ride and overnight campout from June 24-25 Meet at KCB Saturday at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. rollout. Return mid afternoon Sunday.

The cost is $10/person. Pre-registration required by June 10th. The first 10 folks to sign up receive a 2023 Swift Campout patch! There is only a $5 entry fee for LGBTQ+, non-binary, women/femme, or BIPOC identifying people Make payments in-person or online.

This year we have the added fun of experiencing Henderson’s Sauerkraut Days Festival! Thanks to the generous hospitality of David Rice, one of our new board members, a portion of the group will be staying at his home in Henderson (space for a 4 people indoors + some yard camping). We have 2 additional camp sites booked at Allanson’s Park nearby as well. Collectively we can accommodate 20+ riders. This campground offers: drinking water, toilets/showers, power, picnic tables, fire pit, and short trails. Breakfast at David’s house Sunday morning.

The ride is 30 miles one way, less than 1/3 gravel. Route will be posted prior to event and will be on rural county roads and avoid Hwy as much as possible. There will be a couple breaks taken along the way to re-group and re-fuel on calories & water.
