Music on the Hill

The Mankato Symphony Orchestra’s chamber music series Music on the Hill presents its final concert of the season on Sunday, May 7, at 3pm in Trinity Chapel on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College. The Music on the Hill Artistic Director and cellist, Richard Belcher said, “It’s going to be a thrilling concert, featuring music of three composers who were all early in their careers.” The concert will showcase an exquisite array of instrumental masterpieces, including “Strum” by Jessie Montgomery, Phantasie Trio by John Ireland, and the First Piano Quintet by Erno Dohnanyi.

Richard Belcher will be joined by New Zealand pianist Nikki Melville, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra’s violinists Maureen Nelson and Rolf Haas and Minnesota Orchestra violist Sabina Thatcher.
