MSU Spring Dance Concert

Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre & Dance
will presents the Spring 2023 Dance Concert.
The April 27-29 performances are full-length concerts featuring eight pieces choreographed by both faculty and students and featuring 33student performers. The April 30 performance is a Student Dance Showcase, which is choreographed, designed, produced and performed by students.
The full-length concert features dances from two Andreas Guest Artists: Twin Cities native and longtime adjunct ballet instructor Allison Doughty Marquesen; and Trinidadian-born interdisciplinary artist Kieron Dwayne Sargent. The concert also showcases a collaborative effort with the music department and features 29 choir members led by Dr. Elisabeth Cherland and featuring original music by Nicholas Wayne based on the Shakespearian sonnet Shall I Compare Thee.
The 2023 Spring Dance Concert is at 7:30 p.m. on April 27 & 28 and at 2:00 p.m. on April 29. The Student Dance Showcase is on April 30 at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are $10 regular price, $9 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more; and $5 for MNSU students for the Spring Dance Concert. Tickets for the Student Showcase are $5 and available at the door.
