Gustavus Adolphus College is hosting the annual MAYDAY! Peace Conference with the theme, “The Future of U.S. Education: Who decides what gets taught?”
The Conference is happening on Wednesday, May 3 from 10-11:20 a.m. in Alumni Hall, OJ Johnson Student Union. The event is free and open to the public with a recording of this event will be posted after the event online.
This MAYDAY! The teach-in will be an opportunity to draw upon the expertise and insights of Gustavus faculty members from across the disciplines to examine what education’s purpose is and should be, who actually decides what gets taught and why, and how the answers to these questions will impact us all in the short term and for generations to come.
