New Ulm — The New Ulm Business & Retail Association (NUBRA), a committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2025 Shopping Opener, November 7-9, 2025. New Ulm has been holding the Shopping Opener for decades. Lots of towns have been hosting their own events in recent years, but New Ulm has been hosting the shopping opener since before boutique shopping was cool.
While some are deer hunting, shoppers are hunting in New Ulm for the best finds! Check out our annual Shopping Opener in New Ulm, November 7-9, 2025. Shoppers make it a tradition to kick off the shopping season here in New Ulm. Eat, stay, shop, and play! The New Ulm specialty shops and boutiques have joined together for open houses, tasty treats, events, and more.
Continuing last year’s new additions, NUBRA invited local businesses and shops to come together for an exciting collaborative event opportunity for Shopping Opener Weekend! Each participating business will offer a “hunt” activity that may include things like “Hunt for Deals,” “Shoot the Bucks,” money wheels, scavenger hunts, and more. The NUBRA committee coordinates, advertises, publicizes, and promotes the general business of New Ulm, and the customer services available. Their goals are to promote the New Ulm business districts through advertising, events, and beautification efforts; to promote the importance of shopping locally.
