A day of rejuvenation is planned with a variety of activities and workshops
Mankato – The Mankato Family YMCA will be hosting a one-day Yoga Retreat on Sunday, February 12 from 11am – 3pm. The event will include a variety of activities and workshops that will allow members and non-members to enjoy a day of rejuvenation.
“Layla Pappas, one of our yoga instructors, brought the idea to me recently,” says Stacy Jackson, Director of Healthy Living at the Y. They got to work immediately to brainstorm ideas to invite community members into the Y and remind them to slow down and rest.
“I’m excited to bring a wellness experience to the Mankato area and showcase the talent that we have here in a healing, health and wellness community,” Layla Pappas said.
Activities at the retreat will include yoga classes, massages, a journaling sessions, a raki/healing touch session, pilates class, a motivational talk and more. The cost of the retreat is $50/person and includes lunch, which will be provided by Pappageorge Restaurant, and is open to both members and non-members. Participants are asked to register by Friday, February 10th.
