New Ulm — The New Ulm Business & Retail Association (NUBRA), a committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce the return of the popular shopping promotion: #LoyalToLocalNU Holiday Passport!
Starting November 1st through November 30th, customers can shop at participating local businesses and earn stamps to fill up their passport. Gift card purchases count, too. In the first two years of this program, 872 passports have been submitted, which means we can track $261,600 in local spending from this program!
The Chamber’s intention with this program is to support area businesses and further incentivize shoppers to shop local. As they fill up their passports, shoppers are entered to win one of two prizes: $1,000 or $500 in Chamber Dollars! Passports will be available to pick up at the Chamber Office (1 N Minnesota St), or at any participating business. Completed passports can be submitted at the Chamber Office (1 N Minnesota Street) or at any participating business by 5pm on Tuesday, December 2nd. Winners will be drawn and announced on Thursday, December 4th.
The NUBRA committee coordinates, advertises, publicizes, and promotes the general business of New Ulm, and the customer services available. Their goals are to promote the New Ulm business districts through advertising, events, and beautification efforts; to promote the importance of shipping locally.
The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce has a membership of 380+ businesses including New Ulm’s largest employers, retailers, professional services, and interested individuals. The Chamber’s mission is encouraging economic growth in our community by supporting our members through business development, networking, education, advocacy, and access to resources.
