Local Companies Donate to Children in Need

    MANKATO—’Tis the season for giving! For the fourth year in a row, two local companies are working with Greater Mankato Area United Way to give donations to children in need, making deliveries on Tuesday, December 10 and later in the month.

    Capstone employees assembled nearly 100 literacy kits (individual bags with books, pencils, bookmarks and other items) to be distributed to area children through Partners for Affordable Housing and Committee Against Domestic Abuse (CADA) on Tuesday, December 10.

    Scheels is donating dozens of new stuffed animals to Mankato Youth Place (MY Place) to be delivered later in December.

    When/Where: Capstone literacy kits: Tuesday, December 10 at 10 a.m. (Partners for Affordable Housing @ 151 Good Counsel Dr, Mankato) and 10:30 a.m. (CADA @ 100 Stadium Court, Mankato).

    Scheels stuffed animals at MY Place: TBD

    Who: Representatives of Scheels, Capstone and United Way. Employees receiving the deliveries will be able to answer questions about their services and our community needs.
