New Ulm — New Ulm is honored to once again be asked to participate in German Heritage Night at Target Field, spotlighting the city’s vibrant culture and rich traditions. The celebration will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, when the Minnesota Twins take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. A special MN Twins German Beer Stein will be included with every ticket purchased through the German Heritage Night ticket package, available online or through the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce.
Fans are invited to arrive early and join in the pre-game festivities beginning at 5:10pm at Gate 6, where New Ulm will host live polka music, photo opportunities, and appearances by crowd favorites Hermann the German and The Narren. The on-field program will showcase New Ulm in several exciting ways. Highlights include raising the Twins Territory Flag, an honorary first pitch thrown by Hermann the German to Brian Raabe, a New Ulm native and former Twins infielder who debuted in the major leagues in 1995, and a live polka ‘Seventh Inning Stretch’ led by The Narren and Hermann, broadcast on the jumbotron. The event serves as a spirited preview to New Ulm’s Oktoberfest, which takes place October 3-4 and 10-11.
Special ticket packages are available for fans who want to sit in the New Ulm section (Section 125). Options include a full package with a game ticket, Twins stein, and round-trip bus ride for $100; a ticket and stein package for $65; a bus ride only option for $40; or a stein only option for $40. Buses will depart New Ulm at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. from the Cash Wise lower parking lot.
“New Ulm is honored to bring our German traditions and community spirit to Target Field for German Heritage Night,” said Sarah Warmka, President & CEO of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a fun way to showcase our city and invite fans to join us again this fall for Oktoberfest.”
