About Red Jacket Trail
The Red Jacket Trail, south of Mankato, formally begins at Indian Creek Road where it continues from the West Mankato Trail and ends near the town of Rapidan.
13 miles of paved, scenic trail, travel through woodlands and meadows where visitors can often see deer and other wildlife. Offering some of the most scenic views in the region, the trail passes by the foot of Mt. Kato Ski Area and across the Red Jacket Trestle, a former railroad bridge 80 feet above the Le Sueur River.
The annual River Ramble takes place on the Red Jacket as well as other local runs and rides.
