Drake – Lab/Terrier Mix
From the Foster Family
Drake is a very laid back dog and presents as shy.
He enjoys laying next to people when they become familiar, whether on the couch or the bed. Drake is looking for some gentle personality to guide him. He is very comfortable going for long walks either on the park trail or through the woods.
Drake has spent time at the local dog park with his foster family and appears to enjoy the company of other dogs. He seems to warm up to dogs faster than his human companion, although he will warm up to his new family and provide the occasional kiss as dogs are known to do.
We have been working on “sit” now that we have a rapport with him and he is doing well with this command. I’m sure other skills will develop with practice.
Drake whimpers when he needs to go out and paces toward the door if he’s not being heard.
Drake is generally a quiet dog that enjoys the occasional treat and soft chew toy, otherwise he looks forward to a casual brushing and just some relaxing time with his family.
